Founded in 1823 by Joseph Lobmeyr, Viennese family-owned glass and chandelier creator J. & L. Lobmeyr is recognized internationally for its impeccable craftsmanship, design legacy and its innovative approach to glassware. With more than 190 years of experience and expertise in manufacturing and designing the finest glassware, J. & L. Lobmeyr is regarded as the pioneer of Austrian and Bohemian crystal production.

For 6 generations now, J. & L. Lobmeyr has significantly contributed to the design and craft legacy of Austria and Europe. They catered to the most prestigious clients, Schonbrunn Palace (Vienna), the King of Belgium, the Duke of Brabant, the Court of Flanders, and later the Vienna State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. J. & L. Lobmeyr’s pieces are included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art (New York), the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), the Museum of Applied Arts (Vienna) and the Neue Galerie (New York).

Today, the company still continues to lead the design industry by pushing the boundaries for endless possibilities. They collaborate with contemporary designers such as Ted Muehling, Michael Anastassiades, and Formafantasma to create one-of-a-kind glass and crystal collection that speaks tradition, subtlety, sophistication and heritage.
